IF YOU HEARD WHAT JENNIFER HEARD
JENNIFER SHARES THE STORY OF HER GRANDFATHER, AL KLEINER, WHO WAS PLACED IN A FORCED LABOR CAMP WITH HIS BROTHERS. HIS FATHER BRIBED A NON-JEWISH NEIGHBOR TO GET HIS CHILDREN OUT OF THE FORCED LABOR CAMP, BUT THE NEIGHBOR WAS ONLY ABLE TO RESCUE AL. HIS BROTHERS STAYED BEHIND, AND DID NOT SURVIVE. AL WAS REUNITED WITH HIS PARENTS AND HE SURVIVED THE HOLOCAUST BY HIDING IN A DITCH ON THE PROPERTY OF ANOTHER NEIGHBOR WITH SEVEN OTHER JEWS FROM HIS TOWN. AL MADE IT TO THE U.S. AFTER THE WAR WITH HIS MOTHER, MET HIS WIFE REGINA - ALSO A HOLOCAUST SURVIVOR - AND REBUILT HIS LIFE.
IF YOU HEARD WHAT JENNIFER HEARD, YOU WOULD NEVER FORGET.
