IF YOU HEARD WHAT MARA HEARD
MARA SHARES THE STORY OF HER GRANDMOTHER, MIRIAM ROSENBAUM, WHO WAS SEPARATED FROM HER FAMILY AND PLACED INTO FORCED LABOR DURING THE HOLOCAUST, INCLUDING IN TWO CONCENTRATION CAMPS. ORIGINALLY FROM A CLOSE-KNIT FAMILY FROM SOSNOWIEC, POLAND, INCLUDING FOUR SIBLINGS, MIRIAM AND ONLY ONE SIBLING SURVIVED. MIRIAM MET HER HUSBAND AFTER THE WAR, ALSO A HOLOCAUST SURVIVOR. THEY MARRIED IN GERMANY, AND HAD MARA’S MOM - TOGETHER THEY CAME TO THE U.S. AND REBUILT THEIR LIVES AFTER LOSING EVERYTHING.
IF YOU HEARD WHAT MARA HEARD, YOU WOULD NEVER FORGET.
